Dynamic Support is a specialist provider of high quality supported living and care services to with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health Needs, Autism and Behaviour described as challenging.
All our services are tailored to each individual person and we make sure that they are at the centre of the service we provide. Our aim is to meet their needs and aspirations and help them live life to the full.
Dynamic Support offer support and care in an individual’s own home, giving the individual autonomy and control over where they live, who they live with and how they live their lives.
We recognise the need for service user led services, placing the individual at every decision making process, ensuring that support and care is tailored to their needs and preferences and not confounded by tradition service-led “one model for all” approaches which have been used in the past by some providers, which has led to individuals not receiving the right help at the right time. We support our service users to develop new skills and further broaden their existing skills with the aim of preparing them to move into independent living in the future.
Our dedicated and highly skilled team works with the people we support and with their supporters. We aim to provide holistic support and services that meet people’s wishes and needs and ensure that they are in control of their lives. Using simple principles we:
• Develop the person’s everyday living skills, including cooking, cleaning and shopping
• Attend to personal care, including managing and administering their medication
• Provide support to maintain tenancies, including budgeting, maintaining the homes, understanding and following the
terms and conditions of tenancy agreements
• Support the person in accessing local and wider community facilities
• Facilitate relationships so that the person can be a valued member of their community
• Develop the person’s independent travel skills where appropriate
• Support the person’s independence by enabling them to make their own choices and decisions about life
• Help the person access training and employment
• Apply for and obtain appropriate benefits
• Help the person access leisure activities and lifelong learning.
Our most common model of support, known as SUPPORTED LIVING, involves an individual living as a tenant in their own home, quite often shared with other tenant whom also require a similar level of support and whom have similar needs. This allows for 24hour support, due to reduced costings due to shared support, for individuals whom are not granted the funds by their local authority to receive this level of support living by themselves or with family members. Dynamic Support Limited offers a full day service of meaningful activities and developmental goals, as well as 24hour sleep in staff and a 24 hour on-call service. Service Users and family members lead the process of identifying a suitable home, suitable landlord and suitable co-tenants.
Our outreach support is offered on an individual basis and is undertaken by a small team of key workers who have been chosen because of their ability to meet the person’s needs. Our Outreach services enable people to remain in their own homes whilst still accessing the support they need to live the life they choose.
Outreach support can be for any number of hours a week and can be used to give family carers a break from caring for a loved one. It also gives people a chance to have a change of scene with another familiar face. It’s an excellent way for people with learning disabilities to try something new and to develop their social skills, independence and self-confidence.
We offer Outreach Services to individuals with Learning Disability, Autism, Mental Health and behaviour described as Challenging.
Individuals use our outreach services for specific things such as shopping, using public transport, attending social and community clubs, doing activities such as swimming, going to work or going to college. Wherever possible the same support worker attends each time.
Floating Support helps people tackle all kinds of issues; from rent arrears and benefits issues to activities that reduce social isolation. This support enables people to sustain their tenancies, find the services they need and build a better life for themselves within their community.
Each client is supported by an experienced project worker who helps them focus on their strengths, abilities and dreams for the future.
Support hours vary according to each person’s requirements and are gradually reduced over time as the client’s support needs lessen. However, contact between the client and staff continues, and can be fully reinstated if the client feels they need more help.
